چکیده

To evaluate the chloride ion corrosion resistance of proposed innovative self-healing concrete based on shape memory alloys (SMA) and engineering cementitious composites (ECC), a total 2 kinds 22 specimens were prepared. Chloride tests SMA-ECC under dry-wet cycles carried out. It was found that erosion depths significantly smaller than MC, growth rate depth obviously MC after 15 (dry wet) cycles. The content vanished at more 10 mm, which consistent with test result AgNO3 solution color-rendering test. Test results indicate that, compared to marine (MC), has better behavior. Moreover, concentration less mm decreased indicating almost all salt reacted in outer layer SMA-ECC, is conclusions 4.1 4.2. Finally, distribution ions Fick’s second law, calculation model describing relationship between apparent diffusion coefficient boundary condition proposed.

Self-Healing Capability of Fiber-Reinforced Cementitious Composites for Recovery of Watertightness and Mechanical Properties

Various types of fiber reinforced cementitious composites (FRCCs) were experimentally studied to evaluate their self-healing capabilities regarding their watertightness and mechanical properties. Cracks were induced in the FRCC specimens during a tensile loading test, and the specimens were then immersed in static water for self-healing. By water permeability and reloading tests, it was determi...

Self-Healing Capability of Fibre Reinforced Cementitious Composites

Abstract In order to investigate the self-healing capability of fibre reinforced cementitious composites (FRCC), mechanical properties and surface morphology of crack in FRCC were studied. Three types of FRCC specimens containing (1) polyethylene (PE) fibre, (2) steel cord (SC) fibre, and (3) hybrid fibres composite (both of PE and SC) were prepared. These specimens, in which cracks were introd...

Innovative Applications of Steel-Mesh Reinforced Cementitious Composites

The unprecedented growth in construction activities have led to speedy consumption of global natural resources like river sand, blue metal, water, and some raw materials like limestone (for producing cement). This study explores the possibility of using Steel-Mesh Reinforced Cementitious Composites (SMRCC) as an alternative to conventional concrete, aiming at sustainability. In order to underst...

Acoustic Emission Activity in Ductile Fiber Reinforced Cementitious Composites

This study was performed in the framework of a research program focused in the development of high tenacity polypropylene (PP) fibres for the reinforcement of cementitious composites. Precedent reports have demonstrated how micromechanical modelling was used to attain significant improvements with respect to the macroscopic properties of cementitious composites. These improvements have been bas...
